Along with economic progress, citizens also want Nagpur to become the greenest city of India
The Times of India 20 Sep, 2015
NAGPUR: While Nagpurians want the city to develop and progress economically, they do not want it to lose its enviable green cover. In fact, they wish that the city also tops the country in terms of the greenery in its premises. This is exactly the thought process that has led to the trust Nagpur First focus on tree plantation drives across the city.
On Sunday, the organisation conducted two tree plantation drives simultaneously, one in the premises of Raisoni School of Business Management on Hingna Road and the other at GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research in Khaparkheda. Nagpur First is a trust comprising people belonging to the city and living across the globe who are together working towards making Nagpur a global city by 2020.

The Times of India 30 Apr, 2014
NAGPUR: Their chests swell with pride when they tell people they belong to a city that is bang in the centre of India, is perhaps the most cosmopolitan city of the country, and despite its urbanity still has citizens who feel like one big family. They want to add on to this list and, therefore, a group of non-resident Nagpurians have come together with the mission of making the Orange City a global one before this decade ends.
The group called Nagpur First was initiated by Nagpurians now living in the suburbs of Chicago, USA. Individually, they had all been helping the city and its people in some way or the other. The group also helped a lot of non-governmental organizations as well as entrepreneurial endeavours of Nagpur. Their next stop is to bring many global luminaries and visionaries on a common stage to discuss ways of helping the city surge ahead on the path of development and progress.
